Portal filters are one of the most important navigational components in ArchiOffice Online. The filters are intuitive and help you control what information is displayed in the portal, making it easy for you to locate an item of interest.
On the Logs portal, you can see that it contains a chronological history of all logs for a particular contact or project. Some of these logs are associated with a project for the contact, others are not, and are linked to the contact directly.
If you have been working with a contact for a long time, you could have many logs listed in the portal. The logs maybe in the form of notes, submittals, drawings, RFIs, etc.
To find a specific item of interest can be rather difficult by scrolling the portal. The filters provide a convenient method to quickly limit what information is being displayed in the portal.
For example, if we apply the date filter to the Logs portal, we will only see the logs for that specific date range.
We can now apply another portal filter by setting the Type of log we are looking for. This now limits the logs in the portal view to only those that exist for the Type selected.
To remove the filter, click Clear next to the portal filter you want to remove.
